NAKAGAMI SCHOOL TSUBA
This is a very nice irron and soft metal tsuba that has been attributed to the Nakagami school by the NTHK. It is from the later Edo period (19th century). It is iron and oval in shape with a beautiful design of people riding in and pulling a boat with water and ducks. It is done in shakudo, gold, silver, and copper designs on the iron plate. The details are fantastic. This is a fine piece of art. It measures 2 15/16 inches or 7.5 cm by 2 3/4 inches or 7 cm. It comes with NTHK papers attesting to the attribution and quality of this piece.
