This is a very nice sukashi iron tsuba that has been attributed to the Shoami school. It is a plant design that we often see in the works of other schools like Akasaka or the Kamiyoshi school of Higo. It measures 3 inches or 7.6 cm by 2 15/16 inches or 7.5 cm. It is in excellent condition, better than the photos above. It comes with NBTHK Hozon papers and in a specially made fitted wooden box.
