This is an outstanding presentation Yanagi-ba yanone. This point is signed Muneyuki. This type of flat blade Yanagi-ba yanone (willow leaf shape) is a difficult to find. What makes this rare is that instead of the typical cherry blossom open work, this one has a sukashi kanji character created when all of the metal but the kanji has been removed. This is the kanji for dragon. This type of work is meant to be viewed with the tip down .
The nakago measures 15.75 inches or (40cm). The blade is 5.5 inches or (14cm) long by 2.5 inches or (6.4cm) wide. The Kasane of the blade is 2.2mm thick.
The scan does not show it but this blade is mostly clean metal.
